The bloc has imposed sanctions on ten officials it says are responsible for the current civil war and has obstructed the political transition.
The sanctions reportedly include travel bans to European countries and a freeze on the movement of funds held in member states.
It is stated that the sanctions imposed include both the country's military and the rapid force leaders.
This ban was imposed in October 2023 and will remain in effect until 2026, according to the new EU decision.
Sudan's civil war, now in its third year, still lacks a viable political solution.
