Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Services Enterprise (ESLSE) has been awarded ISO 9001:2015 certification by the Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise, recognising the company’s compliance with international quality standards.

The three-year certification process required ESLSE to overhaul its operations, implementing consistent procedures across all levels of the organisation, from branch offices to headquarters.  The award was formally presented today by Meaza Abera, Director General of the Ethiopian Conformity Assessment Enterprise.

Abdulber Shemsu, Chief Executive Officer of ESLSE, said the certification will help strengthen the company’s operations and enhance its competitiveness in domestic and international shipping markets.

Mesay Sertsu, an ISO management representative, noted that the certification demonstrates ESLSE’s commitment to consistent procedures across all levels of the organisation, from branch offices to headquarters. He added that the improvements provide higher reliability and service assurance for clients.

In the first six months of the current fiscal year, the enterprise reported revenue of 74.4 billion birr. Over the full 2024/25 fiscal year, it achieved around 108.78 billion birr in revenue, surpassing its annual target by 7 percent.
