The Ethiopian government has condemned recent attacks in the Arsi Zone that left civilians dead and others injured, including incidents targeting people in places of worship, describing them as part of broader attempts to undermine national stability and disrupt public security.

In a statement issued from the Office of the Prime Minister on Friday, authorities expressed condolences to families and communities affected by the violence and destruction of homes linked to the attacks.

The government attributed responsibility to OLA-Shene insurgents, saying the incidents reflect a wider pattern of efforts aimed at creating instability and interfering with the country’s governance and democratic processes.

Officials said the attacks are not isolated events but part of a sustained security challenge intended to weaken public order and destabilise communities across affected areas.
