The Ethiopian Real Estate Developers Association has entered into a partnership with US-based Harvest Circle Inc. in a move aimed at helping Ethiopians living abroad gain easier access to housing in their home country.

The agreement, signed on Tuesday, focuses on streamlining real estate transactions for diaspora Ethiopians through improved coordination between developers, financing providers and service facilitators.

Officials involved in the partnership said the initiative is expected to reduce bureaucratic obstacles that have often complicated the home-buying process for overseas Ethiopians.

The arrangement will also seek to connect buyers with trusted developers and create smoother financing channels.

Beyond property transactions, the two organisations plan to collaborate on knowledge and experience sharing in the real estate sector.

Representatives at the signing ceremony said the partnership is intended to create a more transparent and professionally guided system for diaspora homeownership through a coordinated operational framework.

The organisations are also preparing an investment expo in Washington DC next month to promote opportunities in Ethiopia’s housing and construction sectors. The event, scheduled for July 25 to 26, 2026, is expected to bring together real estate developers, banks, insurance companies and fintech professionals involved in housing finance and construction-related services.
