BDO Consulting PLC has become the ninth Securities Investment Advisor licensed by the Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA), bringing the total number of Capital Market Service Providers (CMSPs) in the country to 16.

The licence also includes approval for three appointed representatives and five board directors within BDO Consulting, establishing the company’s governance framework ahead of market operations.

BDO Consulting PLC is part of BDO Ethiopia, the local member firm of the global BDO network, which operates in over 160 countries and territories. At the official ceremony, ECMA Director General Hana Tehelku highlighted the role of securities investment advisors in strengthening market development. She urged all licensed providers to maintain transparency, regulatory compliance, and investor protection, emphasising their responsibility to guide investors with informed decisions.
