Ethiopian Airlines has unveiled a new in-flight dining menu for business and economy class passengers, which will be introduced across its flights from January 2026.
The announcement was made at a ceremony at the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel in the capital, where the airline presented the updated menu to passengers and shareholders while collecting feedback on the planned dishes.
The flag carrier said the initiative reflects its continued emphasis on food quality and safety. Ethiopian Airlines’ catering unit is one of the largest in Africa, with the capacity to produce up to 100,000 meals per day. The division holds multiple international quality certifications and provides catering services not only for its own flights but also for other international carriers, charter operations and VIP flights. It also supplies duty-free goods.
The new menu is expected to further strengthen the airline’s reputation for onboard service. Ethiopian has won several global awards for its catering in recent years, including “Outstanding Food Service by a Carrier – Africa” and “Cabin Concept of the Year 2025” for its Airbus A350-1000 interiors.
Ethiopian Airlines serves more than 130 international destinations and operates a young fleet with an average aircraft age of under seven years.
