Ethiopia will host the fourth edition of the Invest in Ethiopia High Level Business Forum in March 2026, following investment commitments exceeding 1.6 billion US dollars secured at the previous gathering, as the government steps up efforts to attract foreign capital.

The forum is scheduled for March 26 and 27 at the Skylight Hotel in Addis Ababa and is expected to draw more than 700 international investors, senior business executives, policymakers and development partners, according to the Ethiopian Investment Commission, which is organising the event jointly with the Ministry of Finance and the Development Partners Group.

The announcement builds on the outcome of the third edition of the forum, held in May 2025, which concluded with several major investment agreements across sectors including renewable energy, mining and manufacturing. Officials at the time described the commitments, valued at more than 1.6 billion US dollars, as an early signal of investor interest following Ethiopia’s recent macroeconomic and structural reforms.

Organisers say the 2026 forum will focus on translating reform momentum into bankable investment opportunities across priority sectors. These include manufacturing, agriculture and agro processing, mining and renewable energy, information and communications technology and the digital economy, as well as tourism and hospitality.

The event is designed to serve as a platform for direct engagement between investors and policymakers, with the programme expected to include high level policy and investment dialogues, business to business matchmaking sessions, investment exhibitions and field visits to selected projects and investment corridors.
