Minister of Innovation and Technology, Dr. Belete Molla, held bilateral discussions with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Mariano Grossi, on the sidelines of the 69th Regular Session of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, Austria.

It was noted that the discussion focused on the support provided by the International Atomic Energy Agency to Ethiopia's peaceful nuclear energy program, including human capacity building and other issues.

Minister of Innovation and Technology, Belete Molla (Dr.), stated that Ethiopia is laying the foundation for the realization of peaceful nuclear energy programs and is making extensive efforts to implement them.

He added that Ethiopia is playing a significant role in strengthening the regulatory framework it has initiated for the use of nuclear technology for peaceful purposes, and that the Agency's support is needed to enhance this further.
