Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation (ECWC) posted 18.32 billion birr in revenue for the 2024/25 fiscal year, an 80.5 percent rise from the previous year, according to figures shared at Ethiopian Investment Holdings’ annual performance dialogue. The state-owned construction firm completed 34 projects over the period, driving the surge in earnings and highlighting its expanding capacity to handle multiple large-scale initiatives.
The corporation said it will now focus on accelerating ongoing projects and diversifying into prefabricated housing, a move aimed at improving delivery speed and efficiency while responding to rising urban demand.
ECWC’s growth builds on strong results from the previous fiscal year, when the company reported 11.84 billion birr in revenue and nearly 1.4 billion birr in pre-tax profits, exceeding internal targets and doubling earnings from the prior year.
