Compass Properties Puts New Projects on Sale With Up to 30% Holiday Discount

Compass Properties is offering discounts of up to 30 percent on residential and commercial units in two developments in Addis Ababa as part of a holiday sales campaign running through September 30, 2019 in the Ethiopian calendar.

The developer said prices for units in the projects start at 80,500 birr per square metre, with residential properties ranging from 55 square metres for studio apartments to 165 square metres for three-bedroom units. Commercial shops are also being offered as part of the developments.

The projects, located in Bole Atlas and Kazanchis, are currently under construction. At the Bole Atlas site, foundation works have been completed, while construction at Kazanchis has progressed through five basement levels and reached the ground floor.

Nurredin Mohammed, chief executive of Compass Properties, said the company had introduced the promotion while bringing the two projects to market.

The developer has also introduced a price-guarantee arrangement intended to shield buyers from cost increases during construction. Under the scheme, customers will pay the birr amount specified in their contracts even if foreign-exchange movements or higher construction-material costs increase the company’s expenses.

Customers covered by the arrangement will take possession of their properties upon completion while retaining the contracted payment obligation, according to the company.
