Hillary Clinton told members of Congress that she "doesn't know anything" about Jeffrey Epstein's crimes.

Clinton also called for President Donald Trump to be questioned under oath about his relationship with the late sex offender.

The former US secretary of state said she "wanted to see the truth come out" after hours of closed-door testimony to a congressional committee investigating Epstein.

Her husband, former President Bill Clinton, is expected to testify before the committee today.

The pair have repeatedly denied the subpoena, saying it was politically motivated, but they agreed to testify in order to avoid impeachment. Clinton and Trump have pleaded not guilty to charges related to Epstein.

After a six-hour meeting with members of the oversight committee on Thursday, he told reporters that he was “very disappointed” that the testimony had not been made public. “I shouldn’t have come here and told you about it,” he said.

The committee’s chairman, James Comer, thanked them for hearing about the nature of the investigation and the issues that needed to be investigated.

“I appreciate that. I want the truth to come out, and it was a way to help end this long and repetitive process,” Comer said.
