The Regional Education Bureau announced that only 21% of the expected high school students in the Amhara region have registered.
Although the registration of students to register 7.4 million students in the region was officially started on August 19 last year, it was stated that by September 2, 2018, those registered would not reach three million.
Head of the regional education office, Mulunesh Dese (PhD), "I entrust any party to make education free from politics and leave our schools and educational activities to us," she said.
She pointed out that "as a country and as a region, we have seen major deficiencies in areas with secondary and security problems, and we expect that there will be a better change in them than last year."
