MIDROC Gold, part of Ethiopian billionaire Mohammed Hussein Al Amoudi’s MIDROC Investment Group, has signed an agreement with Austrian industrial equipment manufacturer CEMETC GmbH to supply machinery for a planned gold processing plant in Metekel Zone of Benishangul-Gumuz Regional State.

The plant will have the capacity to process 1.25 million tonnes of gold-bearing ore annually, with CEMETC expected to manufacture, supply and install the required equipment and complete delivery within one year, according to MIDROC Investment Group.
