The African Development Bank Group has approved €200 million to support Morocco’s “Cap Compétences 2030” programme. The initiative aims to expand vocational training and improve employment opportunities for young people and women.

The financing will help digitalise services, expand learning systems, and strengthen links between training institutions and the labour market. The programme focuses on skills development, inclusive training, and digital transformation.

Achraf Tarsim, AfDB country manager for Morocco, said the programme aligns with the country’s National Employment Roadmap 2025–2030. It seeks to harness the demographic dividend and promote employment, especially for youth and women.

The bank has mobilised more than €15 billion in Morocco across education, health, infrastructure, and employment sectors, demonstrating its long-term commitment to the country’s development.

The project will be implemented in coordination with other technical and financial partners to ensure coherence and maximum impact.

This support is expected to help Morocco address employment challenges and modernise its workforce training system.
