Addis Ababa's tourism authority and smartphone maker Tecno Ethiopia have formed a strategic partnership to integrate technology into the promotion of Ethiopia's tourism sector, as the companies seek to expand digital tools for showcasing the country's attractions.

The agreement was signed during the launch of the third edition of Tecno Ethiopia's photography exhibition at the Children's and Youth Theatre Complex, an event jointly organised with the Addis Ababa Tourism Commission and Board Cell Phone Addis Ababa.

Running for 10 days, the exhibition presents more than 100 photographs created using advanced camera systems and artificial intelligence technologies. Organisers expect the event to attract more than 10,000 visitors while highlighting the role of digital innovation in photography, creativity and destination marketing.

The newly signed partnership will see the Addis Ababa Tourism Commission and Tecno Ethiopia collaborate on technology based initiatives aimed at making tourism destinations more accessible and visible. The cooperation also seeks to increase public awareness of Ethiopia's natural and historical heritage through digital platforms.

According to the organisers, the initiative is intended to support national image building by combining technological innovation with tourism promotion, while creating new opportunities for the country's creative industry and encouraging greater engagement with Ethiopia's cultural and tourism assets.
