The Addis Ababa City Administration Cabinet has approved a new regulation governing the recruitment and transfer of trainers at the city’s technical and vocational colleges. Officials said the measure is intended to improve the quality of training, enhance institutional performance, and strengthen management practices across the colleges.

According to the city administration’s communication bureau, the regulation will create a more structured system that enables colleges to deliver skilled training aligned with labor market needs. It also aims to make institutions more efficient and results-oriented.

During the same meeting, the cabinet reviewed development projects along city corridors and riverbanks. The session approved support for 37 plots of land allocated to 30 public-private partnership projects, with a combined investment exceeding 733 billion birr. The cabinet said the decision followed assessments of the projects’ potential economic benefits, contribution to urban development, and capacity to generate employment.
