Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in the Swiss capital Geneva on Tuesday for the second round of nuclear talks with the United States.

The US-Iran talks are set to begin in Geneva on Tuesday.

The negotiations are being led by Oman, with the US delegation led by Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Washington was working to reach a successful agreement.

“Nobody has been able to reach a deal with Iran, but we are trying,” he said.

He added, “Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are on their way to the negotiating table with Iran; we will see what happens.”

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a speech on Saturday that President Donald Trump would prefer to reach an agreement.

The talks between the two countries come two days after protests against the Iranian government took place in various parts of the world.
