At least 150 Ethiopians injured in attack in Hargeisa.

A large-scale attack on Ethiopians was launched in the city of Hargeisa, the capital of Somaliland.

Reports from the scene indicate that at least 150 Ethiopians have been injured.

Somaliland police confirmed the attack in a statement and said there were no serious injuries.

He said those who sustained minor injuries were receiving necessary medical treatment, but did not say how many were injured. Somaliland issued a directive last month requiring all undocumented Ethiopians to register.

Somaliland police spokesman Faisal Hess explained that today's attack was related to this.

Somaliland residents are condemning the attack on Ethiopians by youths in the city today.

In a related development, Mohamed Doukale, the director of the Horn Diplomatic Corps, said that the youths who carried out the attack are a group that wants to damage relations between Ethiopia and Somaliland.
